‘Champions Again’, by Mark Duncan, traces his momentous 10-year reign as president of the Jags in which they rose from mid-table mediocrity to win successive championships in 2010 and 2011.
Duncan said: “This is something I’ve been thinking about doing for quite a long time.
“Some amazing things happened when we were at Buckie Thistle, like the time we lost at East Stirling in the Scottish Cup and a few days later we were reinstated when Shire were thrown out of the competition for fielding an ineligible goalkeeper.
“I only decided to make a start on the book at the end of November. Our decade in charge really was a bit of a rollercoaster. A mixture of the good, the bad and occasionally the ugly. We enjoyed tremendous success but there were also moments of great controversy.
“I would like to think that there is something in the book for all followers of Highland League football, not just Buckie Thistle supporters.
“Hopefully it will give people an insight into the effort and commitment it takes to run a Highland League club.”
