Tress have fallen on the A940 between Forres and Dava and on the A96 between Elgin and Forres. Motorists are urged to be cautious when travelling this as conditions worsen. A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “Trees have fallen on two main roads, the A96 and the A940 . “Dozens of smaller roads are also affected and the council and BEAR Scotland are currently working to clear the routes.” “It’s important that drivers remember wind is not just wind. “Today’s weather has the potential to cause serious accidents and we urge that those travelling to so safely.” This picture shows just how serious today’s weather is.
