This is the hilarious moment a panicked drone owner rushed into chest-deep water to rescue the flawed device.
On its first ever flight, the drone captured a residential area in Amsterdam from 200 feet.
However the aircraft suffered a rapid power loss mid-flight before plunging into a nearby pond.
As it plummets, owner Zwier Spanjer dashes into the water to rescue the £650 camera.
Zwier said on his Youtube channel: “After a whole day of flying my new DJI phantom 2 without any problems this happened because the battery was depleted…”
One viewer posted: “Too funny! Keep an eye on your battery and set a safe return home location before every flight.”
The popularity of drones, which range from £100 to as much as £90,000, has grown in the last year and the wide availability of them made them one of the most popular Christmas presents.
The video has racked up almost 400,000 views since t was posted 24 hours ago.
