Thousands of locals and tourists alike have flocked to the country’s beauty spots as temperatures soar. In Aberdeen, the beach has been packed with sun worshippers with temperatures hitting highs today of 25C in the city. Meanwhile, in Aboyne, which was tipped to be the hottest area in the north-east, the village green proved a hit with families. And it has been a similar story in places including Aviemore and Loch Lomond. Since the warm front started blowing in, our photographers have been on hand to capture people trying to cope with the heat. Families cool off in Stonehaven’s outdoor swimming pool.
