This is the armed robber who coolly walked out of a north betting shop with £12,000 after telling a member of staff he had a gun.
Police hunting the man released these CCTV images showing him before and after he targeted a Paddy Power branch in Inverness.
The pictures underline the detailed planning in the raid – including the robber twice changing his clothes as he made his getaway.
He struck in the city’s Queensgate shortly after the betting shop opened, then walked off down Post Office Lane before crossing the River Ness on the Greig Street footbridge.
Police have established a 16-strong major-inquiry team and officers have been drafted in from Aberdeen and Dundee.
They hope the CCTV pictures will help jog people’s memories and could lead to someone coming forward with vital information.
The first image (above left) shows the robber heading across Queensgate towards the Paddy Power shop. The hooded figure is facing away from the camera as he crosses the road opposite Duncan Fraser’s butcher shop.
The time recorded on the camera is 9.28am and the street is largely empty, with only one other person in shot, facing away.
The suspect is wearing a distinctive light-blue hooded top with an Adidas logo on the left hand side of the hood, underneath a black waist-length top with two light-coloured lines on each cuff and waistband.
He is also wearing a black balaclava, black cargo-style trousers and black shoes.
The second image (above right) was taken at Friars Bridge at 9.42am as he made his getaway.
The robber is believed to have headed under the bridge after crossing Greig Street footbridge.
The man captured on CCTV footage is now wearing a red-and-black checked hooded top with a white fleece lining, a black fleece-lined hat with ear flaps and black trainers with white soles.
He has his hood up and is looking across the river to the city centre. He is also carrying a black holdall.
The suspect then changed under the bridge into a dark T-shirt and black jeans and removed his hat.
They also released an image of the light-blue hooded top he wore.
The suspect is described as about 6ft and of average build. Police also want to speak to people who may have seen the robber as he left the scene.
Chief Inspector Mark Mackay, Inverness area commander, said: “With the fur-lined hat and the red-and-black checked top, he would have been quite a distinctive individual.
“We know that a number of people walked past him in the opposite direction. This would have been around 9.35 or 9.40 on Sunday morning.
“We are still waiting for these people to come forward. They may think they saw nothing of significance but it could be very important to the inquiry.”
One customer at Paddy Power said: “It’s a bit of a surprise they haven’t caught anyone yet.
“It’s amazing that they were able to just walk away from it and no one has seen anything since.”
Another said: “You don’t expect anything like that to happen when you’re in a shop or something.”
A Paddy Power spokesman said: “We can’t comment on what is an ongoing police investigation.”
