Yesterday was a nightmare for Aberdeen drivers as they faced miles of tailbacks during rush hour. There are no weather warnings in place for Grampian, but Met Office has issued a yellow warning of snow and ice in the Highlands. Here’s a quick round up what’s happening travel-wise so far: The B974 is still closed between Fettercairn and Banchory. We don’t see it reopening any time soon… In Peterhead the road at the junction of Charlotte Street and Uphill Lane alongside Errol Street is shut following the weekend’s fish factory fire. For those ferrying, Oban-Castlebay, Oban-Lochboisdale, Oban- Coll- Tiree and sailings are on amber alert. The M.V Hrossey from Aberdeen will depart at 6.30pm instead of 7pm.
