A variety of groups took to the streets, including charities Charlie House, Clan and Friends of the Neuro Ward. Picture by Kami Thomson.
Union Street was lit up in bright colours yesterday as around 4,000 people representing 120 organisations marched down the Granite Mile as Celebrate Aberdeen returned for the first time since 2019.
Third sector organisations, voluntary groups, social enterprises, sports clubs, musicians and dance groups took part in the parade, which celebrates how these organisations contribute to the lives of thousands of people in Aberdeen and the north-east.
Our photographer Kami Thomson was there to capture the moments.
Before the parade there was the annual Union Street Mile race which was renamed Mel’s Union Street Mile for 2022.The start of the adults/S5+S6 race.
