The match-up of the brothers ended honours even, but tempers frayed when Inverness drew 2-2 with Glenurquhart colts in the North First Division at The Bught Park.
Inverness manager Allan Macleod and his elder brother, Iain, thought to be the first siblings to manage opposing teams, watched as Inverness player Mark Sproule and Glenurquhart man David Maclennan were sent off.
Doug Rankin twice put Inverness ahead but Danny MacIntosh (penalty) and Cairn Urquhart levelled the score.
Also sent off was Lochcarron’s David McCuish in their 3-1 home defeat by Aberdeen University in a rescheduled Balliemore Cup first-round tie. Mark Fraser, Stuart Cameron and Keiran Murray made the long trip a success for the students, with Ross Brown the home marksman.
