Good morning P&J readers. At last, it’s Friday. And better still, the snow has stopped and road surfaces are clear.
But don’t get too comfortable. Met Office has issued a yellow “be aware” warning for the north east as another spell of wintry weather is expected this weekend.
Gritters have been out on the roads overnight to deal with overnight flurries of snow.
Eddie Ross, BEAR Scotland’s north west representative, said: ‘’The north west and north east trunk roads have experienced intermittent snow showers throughout the night on most routes.
“Our winter teams have worked throughout the night and the Trunk Roads in north west and north east are clear and currently have no issues.”

Those commuting this morning should look for the usual congestion in Aberdeen around Holburn Junction, Haudagain Roundabout and the Beach Boulevard.
Long term roadworks are in place at Machar Drive and could cause delays.
Elsewhere, Charlotte Street and Uphill Lane in Peterhead are still closed following a fire in a fish factory.
Further north, the transportation of a wind turbine between Wick and Harbour and Burn of Whilk will be ongoing until mid-March.

Those ferrying should check their sailing as adverse conditions persist.
The M.V Hrossey and M.V. Hamnavoe are under review alongside several services from CalMac.
Mr Ross added that motorists should plan any weekend journeys in advance.
He said: ‘’We will continue to monitor weather conditions and patrol and treat routes as necessary throughout this period of winter weather.
We encourage motorists to check travel updates before setting out, prepare for their journeys and drive with care as these wintry conditions are set to continue into next week.”
