The victim was named as 82-year-old Catherine Henderson, from Lhanbryde. Her body was found inside the Robertson Road property by 999 crews on Monday, February 2. Neighbours described Mrs Henderson as well-liked, and said she had received regular visits from carers in her later years. One local said that she only recently got out of hospital. Two fire crews from Elgin and one from Fochabers attended the scene in the early hours of Monday morning. Inquiries are ongoing.
