Teenager Ryan Christie kept up his record of scoring in every game he has started for Caley Thistle with the first goal in yesterday’s 2-0 home win against St Johnstone.
The victory which ensured Inverness finished the season in fifth place in the Premiership.
The 19-year-old midfielder had netted in both his previous starts, against Motherwell and Dundee United, and was delighted with his diving header for the opener against St Johnstone.
Christie said: “I had never scored headers in my life but I scored with one against Motherwell in the last game I started. So to score the opener today with another header was brilliant. To end the season in the manner we did today gave all the players a lot of satisfaction.
“We knew St Johnstone could still catch us and we wanted to secure that fifth spot, so going into this game there was still a lot to play for. The players were delighted with the way we played.”
