A man was assaulted inside his own home in Caithness yesterday.
The incident happened in the first floor flat of a three-storey building in Wick’s Wellington Street, and left the man with minor facial injuries.
Police were carrying out door to door inquiries yesterday afternoon as part of their ongoing investigations into the incident.
A cordon was put up around the entrance to the building as one officer stood guard outside and at least one other carried out inquiries in the flat.
A police spokeswoman said: “We will be putting an appeal out to the public for information. It is a case of trying to get details of the people involved in the incident.”
