Several roads have been closed in the north of Scotland due to heavy snow while Met Office warnings for the winter weather remain in place.
The Cairn O’Mount, or B974 Banchory to Fettercairn road, has been closed due to snow, as has the A93 Braemar to Blairgowrie road from Braemar’s School Road.
The A939 Ballater to Tomintoul road has also been closed between the B9008 junction and Cock Bridge due to the wintry conditions.
In Hatton, Aberdeenshire, a road block between Station road and Hobshill Place remains in place due to yesterday’s church fire.
Temporary traffic lights in Turriff also continue to cause congestion to pile up on the B9025, at the Deveron Bridge junction.
Drivers are being urged to approach the Kessock Bridge, in Inverness, the Skye Bridge and Dornoch Bridge with care, due to strong winds.
The later route is closed to high-sided vehicles.
In Aberdeen, on the roads this morning the usual congestion in Aberdeen can be expected around Holburn Junction, Haudagain Roundabout and the Beach Boulevard.
Long term roadworks are in place at Machar Drive, which could cause delays.
Elsewhere, there’s the usual heavy traffic on the A90 southbound between Foveran and Ellon
