Two candidates have put their names forward for the vacant seat on Western Isles Council.
Councillor Archie Campbell resigned last month from the Beinn na Foghla agus Uibhist A Tuath ward.
Now there will be a by-election for the vacancy on March 26.
The two candidates are Roslyn MacPherson, SNP and Andrew Walker, Independent.
Electors have until Tuesday March 10 to ensure they are registered to vote. Anyone wishing to apply for a postal vote or proxy arrangements must do so by Wednesday March 11 at 5pm.
Postal voting packs will be sent out at around Friday March 13.
There will be seven polling stations at the election – Drill Hall at Lionacleit, council offices at Balivanich, Carinish Hall, Janitors House at Paible School, Taigh Sgire Sholais, Lochmaddy Community Centre and Berneray Community Centre.
