If you were unfortunate enough to miss out on the Northern Lights because of the fog in the north-east, this stunning video should give you an idea of what last night’s phenomenon looked like.
The timelapse footage, recorded by Tam Mullen, shows the sky above Lough Neagh in Northern Ireland.
Mr Mullen even pops up himself later on in the video, paddleboarding across the loch.
The Northern Lights follow a spectacular meteor storm over the Highlands on Sunday night and the highly anticipated solar eclipse on Friday morning.
Experts have said ‘a geomagnetic storm, the cause of the aurora, was currently in progress’.
