Motorists heading for the Stornoway ferry will face delays on the road to Ullapool this week as a resurfacing project gets underway.
Work on the A835 Tore-Ullapool road will start today for four days.
The £115,000 scheme at Lael Forest will require temporary traffic lights and a 10mph convoy system to be in operation between 7am-7pm.
The works are due to be completed on Thursday.
Traffic management will be removed outwith working hours to keep disruption to a minimum, although a speed restriction of 30mph will remain in place as traffic will be running on a temporary surface.
Eddie Ross, Bear Scotland’s north-west unit representative, said: “Recent winter weather affected our programme of planned works across the north-west network, and now new dates have been set we can push on with these developments which will greatly improve the existing road surface.”
