Specialist fire and safety engineering products and services provider, Oteac, has appointed a business development manager as it seeks to expand its international offering.
Cammy McBain joins Oteac from Labtech where he was sales manager with responsibility for growing the company’s modular fabrication, EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) and DTP (drilling, testing and production) business streams.
Cammy brings to Oteac a wealth of experience, having spent the last 18 months travelling Europe and the Middle East, building up a good network of contacts. He will be tasked with enhancing Oteac’s reputation in the national and international market.
Oteac recently embarked on an ambitious growth strategy which has seen the opening of a new office in Leith, Edinburgh, which will primarily focus on its marine division.
The company also plans to expand its services in asset management and integrity, including performance verification, design, engineering, installation and commissioning of specialists safety equipment as well as supply, inspection, servicing, testing and maintenance of equipment.
Cammy said: “I have been very fortunate to have worked for successful and well-established companies through the years and the best knowledge and expertise, gained in that time, will be beneficial in driving Oteac forward.”
Bill Hogarty, Oteac chief executive, described Cammy’s appointment as “very significant” for the company.
“Cammy has a great understanding of the industries in which we operate and brings with him many years of proven sales experience,” he said.
“We are very much looking forward to the many new opportunities that 2015 will bring as we continue to build relations with industry, and Cammy will be crucial to this.”
