It may be spring, but the north and north-east are clinging on to winter like it’s a season going out of fashion.
Flurries of snow hit much of Aberdeenshire yesterday and Met Office has warned the wintry climate could be around for a more few more days.
So before heading out this morning make sure you plan ahead and travel to work safely.
In Aberdeen, north Donside Road in Bridge of Don is closed westbound between the A956 Ellon Road junction and the Broadfold Drive junction, because of roadworks. A diversion is in place via Ellon Road, The Parkway and Scotstown Road.
There’s also roadworks in place on the B911 at the St Machar Drive and Bedford Road junction.
The usual congestion is building up at Holburn Junction, Haudagain Roundabout, Beach Boulevard and Bucksburn.
Elsewhere, Kirkton Avenue in Overton closed southbound between the Pitmedden Road junction and the Pitmedden Road junction, because of roadworks.
In Keith, there’s roadworks under way on the A96 Moss Street and there’s repair work taking place on the B9025 at Deveron Bridge, Turriff.
The A939 between Cock Bridge and Tomintoul has closed due to snow.
Further north, roadworks are under way on the A835 by the Garve junction and also on the A82 by the Invergarry junction at the A87 junction.

And in Inverness, while Academy Street is now open to pedestrians, the road is still shut to traffic following the fire at M&Co. Queensgate and Fraser Street are also still affected.
