Following tonight’s Scottish leaders debate, Press and Journal Westminster Correspondent, Calum Ross, has had his say on the evening, scoring each leader’s performance out of 10.
As always, the debate sparked plenty of controversy and disagreement between the leaders, however, Calum was impressed with the performance of Liberal Democrats leader Willie Rennie.

Ruth Davidson
Was involved in heated exchanges with Jim Murphy over benefits cuts, accusing him of making up an “outright lie”. However, the Scottish Conservative leader blundered when referring to a constituency called “Inverness, Cromarty and Skye”, which does not exist.
Jim Murphy

Willie Rennie
The Scottish Lib Dem leader enjoyed one of his better performances, challenging Nicola Sturgeon on whether Trident renewal would trigger another independence referendum. However, he was also put on the spot by Ruth Davidson over whether he would call on Lib Dems to tactically vote Tory or Labour to shut out the SNP in some seats.
Nicola Sturgeon
