Chris Reid, 38, is a key account manager for Fisher Offshore. Here is a day in his life.
MY MORNING
My morning routine, which usually takes place between 6.30am and 8am, is often dictated by what humour my children wake up in.
If my daughter finds the dress to match her favourite shoes and my wife doesn’t catch me checking my e-mails while she is trying to change a nappy then we should be OK to get the whole family out the door by 8am.
I have a short commute to Fisher’s headquarters in Oldmeldrum and once I arrive, the working day begins.
My mornings can typically consist of reviews with our various project teams along with the sharing of information with my fellow business development colleagues.
Part of James Fisher and Sons plc, Fisher Offshore offers fully integrated engineered solutions to the offshore, subsea and marine industries alongside a comprehensive range of equipment for rental and sale.
It recently expanded into Singapore with the opening of a centre and workshop situated at Labuan with offices located in the Loyang Offshore Base, at the heart of the island’s offshore zone.
Although my work sees me look after various UK clients and projects, the sharing of data and raised awareness of our overseas activity is an important consideration for me as it can underpin the requirement and work scope closer to home.
