She was injured in the Carbost area around noon yesterday. Bad weather hampered efforts to reach the casualty and low cloud initially prevented the search and rescue helicopter being dispatched. The woman, who is in her 40s, was part of a group walking in the Coire Na Ian ban Achin area when she fell between nine and 13ft. She was taken by the Skye Mountain Rescue Team to Broadford Hospital for treatment. It is not thought her condition was serious.
