A diver has been pulled from a Highland Loch and flown to hospital after getting into trouble earlier today.
The diver was stranded in Loch Hourn, north of Mallaig, this afternoon when he was rescued by an air ambulance crew who pulled him from the water.
The diver has now been flown to hospital but his condition is not clear.
The distressed diver was originally spotted by a nearby boat.
The boat was unable to reach the man so put out a mayday call which another boat, the Cool Esla picked up and reported to the Stornoway Coastgaurd.
However, with the Coastguard unable to initially exactly locate where the mayday signal had come from, the boat which had originally made the mayday call rushed ashore and called an ambulance.
The air ambulance was immediately deployed and upon arrival pulled the diver from the water and flew him to hospital.
More to follow.
