Picture: Andrew Smith The Cromarty Bridge has been closed following a serious this evening. The crash on the A9 bridge involved three vehicles, one of which is on fire. A fire service spokeswoman said: “We are in attendance at a three vehicle road traffic collision. One vehicle is on fire. “There are five people involved. They were all out of the vehicles before we got there. They are being dealt with by paramedics on scene. “We got the call at 5.45pm There are two appliances from Dingwall, one from Inverness and the heavy rescue appliance in attendance.” A police spokesman confirmed: “The Cromarty Bridge is currently closed following a serious accident.” UPDATE: The crash casualties have been rushed to hospital
