Aberdeen road reopens after car fire

An Aberdeen road has reopened after a car caught fire.

Police and fire crews were called to Auchmill Road, near the Brittania Hotel, just before 7am.

A spokesman for the force said the red Peugeot was on the southbound lane of the road at the time of the incident.

He added: “The road was closed while we cleared the scene however it reopened at around 7.30am.”

A spokeswoman for fire and rescue said: “We were called to an ablaze car at 6.51am and it was extinguished by 7.13am.”
