A male Labrador collie left his owner in awe as he performed a great escape to follow his owner to work.
It was to Thomas McCormack, from Croy, North Lanarkshire, surprise when his dog Paddy unexpectedly jumped on the seat beside him on his train he wondered how his dog had managed to escape the 6ft garden fence.
However, his neighbours expressed their delight to him by revealing that they had seen Paddy bouncing and jumping on top of the trampoline.
Mr McCormack, 34, said: “I was shocked. He just looked at me as if he was saying ‘Where are you going?
“I was confused, but laughing. The neighbour told me he was bouncing on the trampoline and came flying over the fence. That’s how he got out.
“He is some dog. He obviously followed my scent all the way to the station and jumped in the seat next to me.
“It’s the only explanation I have.”
Paddy is often seen jumping with the kids where he learnt the art and skill.
The Lab Collie is normally kept indoors or in the back garden when Mr McCormack leaves for work.
However, Mr McCormack was often left confused when his dog began waiting outside the front door when he returned from work.
He added: “I think he’s been following me to work.
“My guess is that he’s made the journey a few times, but never managed to find me until until the other day.
“That morning he obviously caught me. I had to take him to work. Obviously he’s a new start.”
The dog must be barking in order to chase his beloved owner over the fence to work in the morning.
