Three fire crews were called after a small fire was discovered at the former Richards site. Firefighters battled from 9.45 pm to around 10.05 pm to extinguish the flames. A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said: “We attended a small fire at a derelict building at the Broadford Works in Maberly Street. “Two pumps, a height vehicle and a hose reel jet were in use.” The fire on Saturday took hold in the upper floor and roof area of one of the buildings on Maberly Street. It followed a smaller blaze at the site on Monday, May 18. Both of these blazes at the site, which is owned by city business tycoon Ian Suttie, are being treated as suspicious.
