Traffic is at a standstill on the A90 near Stonehaven after two crashes occurred on the same stretch of the road.
Emergency services were first called to the northbound lane of the carriageway, close to the A92 junction, at 1.30pm where a car and a motorbike collided.
Shorty afterward, an Audi travelling along the southbound lane crashed into the barrier of the road.
A spokeswoman for the police said: “We were called to the A90 at around 1.30pm.
“A car and a motorbike collided on the northbound carriageway and then an Audi crashed into a barrier nearby.
“There are no injures however there is congestion and traffic is currently at a standstill.”
