A young seal is settling in at St Andrews Aquarium after a 1,286 mile journey across Europe.
Earlier this year, the popular visitor attraction announced its two young seals, Laurel and Lief had died.
But now visitors young and old can watch Luna as he settles in to life at the aquarium with buddies Nellie and Togo.
Luna travelled 1,286 miles across Europe to his new home after the Kattagatcentret Aquarium in Denmark contacted the centre in Fife to see if they would like a new young pup.
The newcomer is settling in comfortably to the surroundings which overlook the iconic West Sands on the St Andrews Coast.
Other new guests include an albino Burmese python, believed to be the longest snake in Scotland at nearly 15 feet.
John Mace, manager at the aquarium, said: “After tragically losing Laurel and Leif earlier this year, everyone here is delighted to be welcoming Luna to St Andrews Aquarium’s growing family.
“I am sure Luna will love his new home and he is bound to be a hit a hit with our many visitors.”
