Woman trapped following two vehicle A90 smash in Aberdeen

A woman has been taken to hospital after a two-car crash in Bridge of Don.
The woman had to be cut free from the wreckage of her vehicle after the accident on Ellon Road, near the Gordon Barracks at about 1.30pm.
She is not believed to have been seriously injured, but was taken by ambulance to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary to be checked over.
Police, fire and ambulance crews were all in attendance.
The accident involved a silver Citroen and a white Mercedes took place on the northbound carriageway, which was blocked for more than an hour.
A police spokesman said one lane had reopened at 3pm.
Firefighters from Aberdeen Central used cutting gear to release a woman from one of the vehicles.
A fire and rescue service spokeswoman said: “Were are in assistance at a road traffic collision just now at Bridge of Don with two units from Aberdeen Central.
“The incident involved two cars and one casualty. We are using cutting gear.”
