Body found in search for missing teenage girl

A body has been found by officers searching for missing 13-year-old girl Amber Peat.

Nottinghamshire Police said no formal identification had taken place, but that Amber’s family had been informed.

Amber had not been seen since around 5.30pm on Saturday, when she walked out of her home in Mansfield after a row over chores.

Her father described her disappearance as “out of character”.

Officers were tonight at the scene in Mansfield where the body was discovered.
