A man is currently in a critical condition in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary after he was found unconscious on a north-east road yesterday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the Pole of Lumphanan crossroads after the man, believed to be in his fifties, was spotted on the side of the road by passers by at around 2.40pm.
He was airlifted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary shortly afterwards where his condition was described as critical.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “We were called to Lumphanan at 2.45pm after a man was found unconscious on an unclassified road around one mile west of Lumphanan.
“The male in his fifties was then airlifted to ARI.”
The incident is not being treated as suspicious.
