Hundreds of people are expected to line the streets of Keith this month for Armed Forces Day.
The national day of homage to the UK’s military will be held on June 20, with a parade from the town’s Mid Street to Reidhaven Square.
Serving members of the armed forces will be represented by personnel from the 39 engineer regiment at Kinloss Barracks and by airmen from RAF Lossiemouth.
Moray Council convener Allan Wright hailed Moray’s “proud association” with the military.
He said: “This is our opportunity to show our appreciation for the armed forces and their families.
“In Moray we are fortunate to have a long and proud association with all three arms of the military, and many veterans of those services continue to enhance our community.”
As well as a contingent of cadets, a number veterans from all the services will join the parade.
The local authority’s armed forces champion, Heldon and Laich councillor Chris Tuke, said: “As an RAF veteran myself I know I’m one of many ex-servicemen and women that have served and settled in the area.
“It would be wonderful to see a strong representation of our veteran community on the day.”
The Lord Lieutenant of Banffshire, Clare Russell, will take the salute.
The square in Keith will host a variety of stalls and displays, in addition to a refreshment marquee that will be serving hot
drinks and provide a licensed bar.
The parade starts at 2pm and the event closes at 5pm.
Any veteran wishing to join the event should attend at the parade muster point on north Mid Street by 1.30pm.
