A group of kayakers have released footage of a rescue mission they launched yesterday in which they saved a dolphin hopelessly tangled in seaweed.
The canoe group, from Clear Water Paddling, were alerted to the distressed dolphin by a passer-by and immediately paddled towards the area in order to set it free.
The video footage shows the kayakers arriving at the scene at Northbay and fighting through the seaweed to save the dolphin.
After Clear Water Paddling owner Chris Denehy completes the rescue, the dolphins put on a rather impressive display, each taking it in turn to dive through the air.
The heartwarming footage has already been watched over 1,200 times on YouTube despite the fact it was only uploaded yesterday.
