A historic Moray estate will host outdoor productions of two of Britain’s best-loved plays later this month.
The walled garden at Gordon Castle in Fochabers will stage Kenneth Grahame’s The Wind in the Willows and William Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night on Saturday, July 25.
Audience members are invited to bring along a picnic to the shows.
Gordon Castle’s Zara Gordon Lennox said: “We are really excited to be hosting this event, it’s something that isn’t often seen in this part of the north east.
“Both performances will be set in the heart of our walled garden, which at this time of year is absolutely bursting with colours and fragrance from our plants and flowers.
“These events are not just for theatre fans; it will be a special experience in itself just watching the plays in such a unique setting.”
The walled garden at Gordon Castle is one of the largest and oldest in Scotland.
The Wind in the Willows performance will begin at 2pm, and Twelfth Night will follow at 7.30pm.
Both shows are being staged by the London Contemporary Theatre group and tickets are available at www.gordoncastlescotland.com.
