The three foot creature was trapped in the harbour at St Ives, Cornwall, when the tide went out on Monday (July 13). Despite trying to get officials to help, by-standers were told there was nothing that could be done. Passer-by Grace Brown, 19, was among a group of shocked witnesses who then saw the unnamed animal lover wade out to rescue the stricken shark. He emerged from the crowd and put his personal safety aside to rescue the baby man-eater. In the video the shark can be seen swimming around the ever decreasing waters, cut off from the open waters outside the harbour wall.
