Outgoing Moray youngsters are being encouraged to round off the summer holidays in style with a range of workshops designed to get their creative juices flowing.
The Ignite: Moray Youth Arts Hub project is offering a variety of pursuits for children across the region.
On Thursday the Earthtime group will stage a nature-based arts workshop at Brodie Castle for under-12s, followed by another the next day at the Whale and Dolphin Centre in Fochabers.
Elsewhere on Friday, creative youngsters will be able to take part in a craft gathering at Forres House Community Centre.
Later that evening the Bodysurf Scotland dance group will hold a session at Elgin’s Youth Cafe for those aged 12 and above.
Between next Monday and Thursday, youngsters will be able to get a taste of the broadcast world in a workshop at The Shed, on Elgin’s Pinefield Industrial Estate.
Budding dramatists, aged 12 and over, will be able to write, record and edit their own radio pieces during the four-day course.
The activities are being run by the Findhorn Arts Group, the Keith Loft Youth Project, Elgin Youth Cafe and Moray Council.
Youth worker at Keith Loft Youth Project, Holly Hendry, said: “It’s fantastic to have such a range of arts activities taking place this summer, and to be able to offer these opportunities to a real mix of young people.”
Full details of the workshops can be found at www.ignitemyah.org.
Many of the finished products created during the events will be showcased at this year’s Culture Day in Forres on Saturday, September 26.
