Gala organisers at a Moray port have pushed the boat out this year by inviting watercraft of all variety to attend its annual nautical extravaganza.
Cullen’s harbour gala day will take place on Sunday, August 16, and vessels from across the region will set sail to the village for the occasion.
Crowds will be able to get a look at visiting crafts from Findochty and Whitehills, and the Buckie lifeboat is scheduled to make a visit on the day.
Those looking to test their seafaring skills will be able to try their hand at rowing a skiff, and the Deveron Paddlers group will offer taster sessions in its canoes.
Sailing experts from the Portsoy boat festival will demonstrate the locally built Optimus vessel, and the North East Dive group will speed passengers around the harbour aboard its fast rib.
Meanwhile, on dry land, a BBQ will be offering up grilled kippers, alongside a range of stalls and displays.
Chairman of Cullen Harbour Association, Malcolm Watt, said: “This year we have some new additions to the gala programme, such as canoeing and coastal rowing taster sessions, and it will be great to see the harbour bustling with activity.
“It will be a good family day out, we are just keeping our fingers crossed for some nice weather.”
The event will take place from noon until 4pm.
