Police have issued a drugs warning after two children fell ill after a bad reaction to an illegal substance.
A 12-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl were taken to hospital in the incident at 94.5pm yesterday in the Cornton area of Stirling.
Officers said that the pair are being treated for “non life-threatening injuries” at Fort Valley Royal Hospital.
Chief Inspector Damian Armstrong, of the Forth Valley division said: “This incident is very concerning and highlights the dangers of taking illegal drugs.
“I would urge members of the public to be aware of the dangers of illegal drug use and advise anyone who has taken drugs and feels unwell to seek urgent medical advice.
“Additionally I would ask anyone with information that can assist us with our on-going investigation to please get in touch.”
A man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident and a report is being sent to the fiscal.
