Former Aberdeen midfielder Graham Leggat has died at the age of 81 in Canada.
Leggat came through the ranks in the Aberdeen junior leagues with Banks o’ Dee and became an integral part of the Dons’ championship-winning side of 1954-55. He was also in the team which won the League Cup the following season.
Leggat was sold to Fulham in 1958 for £16,000 and after leaving Craven Cottage in 1968 he had spells at Birmingham City, Rotherham United and Bromsgrove Rovers and was also briefly a coach at Aston Villa.
Leggat was selected in the Scotland squad for the 1958 World Cup finals in Sweden, playing against Yugoslavia and Paraguay, and went on to earn 18 caps between 1956 and 1960, scoring eight goals.
In 1971 Leggat moved to Canada, where he began a popular television analyst, and was inducted into the Canadian Soccer Hall of Fame in 2001.
