The man is part of the crew on the Lord of the Glen vessel and had gone ashore at the Isle of Canna when the incident took place. Stornoway Coastguard are now deploying a search and rescue helicopter to take the injured man to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness. The full extent of the crewman’s injuries are unknown at this stage.
