A group of international artists who have spent the summer creating work inspired by a Speyside whisky distillery and its surroundings will exhibit their efforts tomorrow.
The Glenfiddich distillery at Dufftown has hosted eight skilled visitors from across the globe since May, who have lived and worked at the venue as part of its Artists in Residence programme.
The third and final exhibition of their work will go on display tomorrow.
The works have been inspired by 17th century Dufftown landmark Balvenie House, and the nearby Convalmore distillery.
Indian artist Krupa Makhija has created an installation featuring original plaster from the walls of Balvenie House, onto which vintage photographs of the building and images of its former occupants have been transferred.
Curator of Glenfiddich’s Artists in Residence programme, Andy Fairgrieve, said: “Ms Makhija has put an exceptional amount of time, care and skill into her exhibits.
“She researched the history of Balvenie House and spoke with a number of local people who lived and worked there over the years.
“It is a particularly poignant piece as the Grant family are planning to rebuild the house and give it a new lease of life.”
Aturo Alcazar, from Mexico, will display a collection including images of the historic Convalmore whisky plant.
Two exhibitions created during the programme have already been staged at the Dufftown distillery, which boasted work inspired by the old Dufftown to Keith railway track and films of the local landscape.
The final display will be open to view at Glenfiddich’s onsite gallery from 12.30pm to 5.30pm between Wednesday and Sunday until October 11.
