It happened on the A858 road near Leurbost, about 13 miles south of Stornoway, at about 4.30pm. Two appliances from Stornoway went to the scene but the woman driver had already left the vehicle and crews were only needed to make the area safe. A fire service spokeswoman said that an ambulance was requested and paramedics treated her for injuries which are unknown at this stage.
