A major north-east road has partially re-opened following a two-vehicle collision which resulted in a car transporter overturned.
Police, ambulance and fire teams were called to the scene of the accident on the A90, close to the Ellon bypass just before 1pm, where a transporter and a car crashed.
The cab of the transporter had overturned in the crash, leaving its driver trapped inside.
He was freed from the wreckage by fire teams using hydraulic cutting equipment, and is believed to have suffered leg and arm injuries.
The condition of the driver of the car is still unknown.
The northbound portion of the road has been re-opened as of 2.30pm, however motorists travelling southbound are still being diverted through ellon along the A948, A920 and B9005 roads.
UPDATE: The A90 is now full clear.
