Youngsters from Shetland have been sharing their experiences of island life with their cohorts from around Europe.
Brae High School is one of five from communities on the fringes of Europe taking part in a transnational project that aims to give youngsters the chance to experience different cultures.
As part of the programme, 28 students from Turkey, Norway, Italy and Latvia spent a week with the Shetland pupils learning about how life on the island works.
The pupils at Brae have returned the visit.
Now the youngsters have shared their experiences of the Erasmus Programme at a conference in Edinburgh.
Headteacher Colin Kirkness said pupils had benefited hugely from taking part.
He said: “The programme gives pupils a fantastic opportunity to experience another culture and make friends from across Europe.
“These exchanges offer a rich context for learning and, as a school, we believe this to be extremely valuable in promoting responsible global citizens.”
