Crews were called to the property on Winfield Close in Balivanich just after 8.30am. A man was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation by ambulance staff. Two fire crews from Benbecula used a hosereel jet and two sets of breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire. No details are yet available on the extent of any damage to the property.
