These are the spectacular images of a whale pod spotted off the Scottish coast. The 20 strong group of pilot whales made their way up the Cromarty Firth, just to the east of Cromarty, Highland. A lucky group on a wildlife watching trip saw the amazing creatures when a local tug boat crew radioed in the sighting. They were just spyhopping and sticking their heads out of the water. At one point they were 150 metres close to the shore and were a bit worried they might strand.
