The Vauxhall Corsa was passing Glasgow city centre on the M8 shortly before 1pm when the fire started. Dramatic pictures, taken from Glasgow Royal Infirmary, show the blaze near the Townhead junction on the M8. https://twitter.com/parke200/status/669496476201033728 One person is believed to have been taken to hospital. The blaze caused serious delays on the road, with two westbound lanes and one eastbound lane closed.
