The only match in the Highland League on Saturday was an entertaining affair filled with good football and no shortage of controversy.
Deveronvale edged into an early lead through a Liam Forbes goal and thought they would have the chance to double their advantage when referee Liam Duncan awarded the visitors a penalty for a Michael Morrison challenge on Martin Charlesworth in the box.
However, after consultation with his stand side assistant the award was reversed and a drop ball was given which Nairn cleared.
To make matters worse for Vale, attacker Gary Harris voiced his opinion and was shown a straight red card.
Nairn levelled through Robbie Duncanson, but Vale forged ahead with a Ross Aitken effort, but two goals in the final five minutes from Ross Naismith and Sam Urquhart allowed the home side to grab what looked an unlikely victory.
