Man found lying in city centre street

Police and ambulance staff have been called to a busy city street in Aberdeen after a man was lying in the road.

A police spokesman said they were at the scene in Bridge Street at about 10.25pm.

A police vehicle was at the scene but the spokesman said traffic was still moving and first-aiders were helping the man.

Police later said a man was in custody and another man was being checked out by ambulance staff. He was then taken to hospital by an ambulance.
