The incident happened just before 4.30pm on Friday, December 11. Police in the Shetland capital were called after the robbery which involved money being stolen from a commercial premises. A 33-year-old man was traced by officers at a nearby address and has been reported to the procurator fiscal in connection with the incident. He is expected to appear at Lerwick Sheriff Court today.
